I'm off to Switzerland next May with Guides.

This was decided in the space of all of two minutes last night.

What a waste of time.

The gist is that a group of aetheists have taken issue with the fact that the Scout promise includes a reference to doing 'my duty to God'.

I am off to summer camp with my girly guides and the scouts tomorrow.

A week in a field. No running water. No mobile 'phone signal. No electricity.

Remind me why I do this again?

Best way of cooling off in the heatwave of hell?

Take 22 girly Guides to the beach.

Split said group into two teams.
Have both teams dig a trench.

Then hand over water bombs and declare WAR.
Stand well clear of the crossfire.

Declare least wet team the winners.

Finish with chips and lemonade.
